Metropolitan Council staff will be facilitating several workshops to gather local perspectives on water resources (wastewater, water supply, surface water) policy that will be part of Imagine 2050, the region’s development guide.
The 2050 Water Policy Plan portions of Imagine 2050 will provide a framework for integrated water planning and management (wastewater, water supply, stormwater, and natural waters). It will contain policies, strategies, and actions for the Met Council, as well as the region’s local government agencies and watershed managing organizations
At these workshops, you will hear a brief overview of the Water Policy Plan’s purpose and contents, as well as a summary of the process to develop a draft plan. You will be able to provide direct feedback to the draft 2050 Water Policy Plan.

In addition to the workshops, we will be hosting a virtual information session via Microsoft Teams on Thursday, May 30 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
