Mayors help celebrate Nice Ride expansion and first light rail pavement on University Avenue
As St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman looks on, Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak points out the route of the Central Corridor LRT line under construction between St. Paul and Minneapolis as shown on the back of a T-shirt worn by St. Paul City Council member Russ Stark. The occasion was the end of a bike ride June 27 from Minneapolis to St. Paul to celebrate the opening of 43 new Nice Ride Bike stations in the two cities this summer, as well as the first pavement installation of the LRT line on University Avenue. The ride ended at the site of the future Westgate Station on the Central Corridor line.
