Yen Pham, executive director of Vietnamese Social Services of Minnesota, encourages businesses to work with the Central Corridor LRT Project staff through construction to make the process go as smoothly as possible. Pham's organization is housed in the Vietnam Center at 1159 University Ave. in St. Paul and has already started to plan how to cope with construction and still serve its clients in its literacy and citizenship, health, youth, elders and self-sufficiency programs. Vietnamese Social Services also operates the Center for Southeast Asian Community and the Karen Support Project. The Karen are an ethnic minority from the mountain areas of eastern Burma.
