Finding of No Significant Impact for Infill Stations Environmental Assessment

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) made the finding that construction of above-grade elements of three infill stations at Hamline Avenue, Victoria Street, and Western Avenue as part of the Central Corridor LRT project will have no significant adverse impacts on the environment.  A document known as a FONSI, or Finding of No Significant Impacts, was issued by FTA on February 26, 2010.  The FONSI summarizes the planning history for the three infill stations, public and agency opportunity for comment, and environmental effects and findings.  The FONSI concludes the required National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) review analyzing the social, environmental, and economic effects of building the infill stations.

Along with publication of the FONSI, the FTA has also published a Final Infill Stations Environmental Assessment, which includes a record of all comments received during the comment period.
