During summer the Minnesota Orchestra comes to play at Plymouth’s Hilde Performance Center, located near city hall just off Plymouth Blvd. The open-air stage is also home to Music in Plymouth and other performing arts.
Plymouth has a healthy mix of multi-family and single-family housing. Built in 1988, the development includes 15 apartment buildings with a total of 248 market-rate units and a clubhouse.
The city is just completing renovations and an expansion of its Public Safety Building, which includes a new joint entrance to City Hall.
Town Center Office Plaza along Plymouth Blvd. is one of the city’s newer commercial developments. The multi-tenant complex, with more than 56,000 square feet of space, was completed in 2005.

A major employer in Plymouth is Allina’s WestHealth Clinic near the intersection of Hwy. 55 and I-494. Plymouth has a higher daytime population than resident population – meaning more people commute in for work than leave the city.
