The Visitors Center at Lebanon Hills Regional Park showcases sustainable design features such as passive solar, a green roof, and renewable and recycled materials.

Like many auto-oriented suburbs that developed rapidly in the 1980s and 1990s, Eagan has large retail shopping areas with large parking lots. An oak tree stood for about 160 years near the present-day intersection of Hwy. 55 and Dodd Rd. in Eagan. The tree was used as a message center in the early days of Eagan Township’s history. The tree became diseased and was taken down in 1984. A section of the trunk is displayed in the Eagan Municipal Center.

The Minnesota Valley Transit Authority’s Transit Center in Eagan is served by eight bus routes that take people to downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul and to locations throughout Eagan.
