2009 Regional Solicitation of Federal Transportation Projects - June 8, 2009 Update

- Applications Due on Monday, June 15, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. -

The Metropolitan Council and the Transportation Advisory Board has released the 2009 Solicitation Package for federal funds.
The regional solicitation process selects projects or programs to be funded by the Surface Transportation Program (STP), the Congestion Mitigation/Air Quality Improvement Program (CMAQ), the Transportation Enhancements program (TE) as well as the Bridge Improvement or Replacement Program (BIR). Applications may be for construction projects for all programs, transit operations and vehicle purchases from CMAQ as well as various types of projects and programs described in the qualifying criteria from Transportation Enhancements. Eligible costs for federal funding or local match funding are described in the policies for each program. Requests for funding for construction projects and the required local match may only be for construction costs.
