In 2007 the Council staff conducted two studies, the Principal Arterial Study and the Transit Master Study, to explore future scenarios for the regional highway and transit systems.  Advisory committees composed of representatives from MnDOT, counties, cities, and regional transit providers assisted with this effort.  The results of these studies will be used to update the 2030 regional highways and transit plans.
