Transit, partnerships stressed at State of the Region
Transit holds the key to a successful and prosperous region, said Council Chair Susan Haigh at the State of the Region Jan. 18. Haigh highlighted the role of transit in economic development and job creation at the event, which was attended by several hundred people.
During 2011, the new Council clarified its vision for the region, dedicated resources to expanding opportunities for all metro residents, and continued the Council’s long tradition of outstanding wastewater, transit and housing services.
