Population/Household Estimates Workshops
, 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., Metropolitan Council, central office at 390 North Robert Street St. Paul. The Metropolitan Council will host workshops for local officials on the Council's methodology for calculating estimates of current local populations and households. Participants will learn the methodology behind the Council’s model, which will prepare them to review their own community’s estimates at the end of May. 2008 Land Use Planning Workshops, Government Training Services is offering workshops designed especially for citizen planners, elected officials, and planning staff. "Transitions in Planning"
The Minnesota Chapter of the American Planning Association announces its Call for Presenters for the state planning conference in Duluth, on Sept. 22-24, 2008.  The theme, "Transitions in Planning," will approach many aspects of planning, as well as of some of our partner professions, such as landscape architecture, engineering, and economic development.  For details, see www.plannersconference.com.

Nineteenth Annual CTS Transportation Research Conference, RiverCentre in St. Paul. The conference acts as a forum for researchers and practitioners from Minnesota and the Upper Midwest to share their research findings in a variety of transportation-related areas. The conference will cover all modes of transportation including highway, transit, rail, air, water, and others.
