Model Support Files – Zipped ArcGIS features, layer files (.lyr), and metadata (.xml)

    • BoundaryConditions.zip (4.6 MB), ArcGIS point and polygon features of Groundwater Vistas model boundary conditions (No-Flow, Constant Head, and River).
    • CalibrationTargets.zip (740 KB), ArcGIS point features of static water level, aquifer test, and baseflow calibration targets. Dataset includes model residuals.
    • GeologyGrids.zip (2.412 MB), ArcGIS raster for use defining model layer surface elevations.
    • GWVmaps.zip (4.595 MB), Groundwater Vistas map files for use as a spatial reference when using the model. Other ArcGIS features may also be imported to Groundwater Vistas as reference maps.
    • HeadContours.zip (810 KB), ArcGIS line features of head contours for model layers 1-9 in the calibrated Groundwater Vistas model.
    • HeadDEMs.zip (1.517 MB), ArcGIS rasters representing head for model layers 1-9 in the calibrated Groundwater Vistas model.
    • Kvalues.zip (1.846 MB), ArcGIS polygon feature defining the hydraulic conductivity value assigned to each cell in all 9 layers of the Groundwater Vistas model.
    • Kzones.zip (1.811 MB), ArcGIS polygon and raster features defining hydraulic conductivity zone boundaries for each geologic unit included in the Groundwater Vistas model. Polygon shapefiles include hydraulic conductivity zone numbers but not hydraulic conductivity values. A raster file represents average sand content (%) of Quaternary sediments, which was used to delineate hydraulic conductivity zones that unit.
    • LakesRivers.zip (2.207 MB), ArcGIS line and polygon features imported to the Groundwater Vistas model as MODFLOW river boundary conditions.
    • Layer1TopElevation (2.8 MB), ArcGIS point and polygon features defining the surface elevation of model layer 1 (surface topography). Both shapefiles contain the surface elevation (meters above mean sea level) assigned to each cell in model layer 1, defined by model row and column.
    • LayerBottomElevation (8.2 MB), ArcGIS point and polygon features defining the bottom elevation of model layers 1-9. Both shapefiles contain the basal elevation (meters above mean sea level) assigned to each cell in each model layer (1-9), defined by model row and column.
    • Leakage.zip (312 KB), ArcGIS raster defining the flux between model layers for each active cell in the calibrated Groundwater Vistas model.
    • ModelActiveArea.zip (16 KB), ArcGIS polygon feature defining the extent of active model cells within the Groundwater Vistas model domain.
    • ModelGrid.zip (1.975 MB), ArcGIS polygon feature defining the cell geometry of the Groundwater Vistas model domain.
    • Recharge.zip (49.6 MB), ArcGIS raster file defining estimated recharge for 30 x 30 meter grid cells across the model domain, as calculated using a daily soil-water balance method. ArcGIS polygon files containing 1) the initial recharge values input to the model, in 500 x 500 meter grid cells, and 2) the final recharge values established for the model through the calibration process, in 500 x 500 meter grid cells. (Updated Feb., 2010)
    • Withdrawals.zip (1.6 MB), ArcGIS point feature defining the location and average daily 1995-2005 rate of groundwater withdrawals in the calibrated Groundwater Vistas model. (Updated Mar., 2010)
