2008 - 2017 Capital Improvement Program

Project #9208, Rosemount Interceptor

Description:

The project consists of gravity sewers, forcemains and two new sewage pumping stations that will  take the Rosemount WWTP out of service and transport Rosemount's wastewater to the Empire  WWTP. The interceptor will start at the Rosemount WWTP site and end at the Empire WWTP. It will  parallel the route of the Empire outfall. One pumping station will be constructed at the existing  Rosemount plant site and the second will be constructed along County Road 42 and Auburn Avenue.  The interceptors will be constructed in conjunction with the Empire Outfall project.

Impact on O&M Costs:

O&M costs associated with the interceptor plus the incremental treatment costs at the Empire Plant will be less than the cost to operate the current aerated pond plant in Rosemount.
