Description:

The capacity of interceptor 1-RF-491 serving portions of Edina and Richfield will be exceeded in the   future. The projected increase in flow is primarily due to a higher density redevelopment  trend  along the I-494 corridor in Edina and Richfield. A relief sewer to off-load interceptor 1-RF-491  will  be constructed. It will consist of a new gravity interceptor, approximately 21,000 lineal  feet (LF) in  length with an estimated pipe diameter of 36-inches. The project also includes  relocating a portion  of existing interceptor 1-RF-491 that will be affected by MnDOT’s bridge project  at I35W and 76 th  Street.
