Description:

This facility is located within the northwest metropolitan area and conveys flow from the City Maple  Plain through Orono where it discharges into the newly constructed Long Lake Interceptor. The  wastewater is conveyed by the interceptor system for eventual treatment at the Blue Lake  Wastewater Treatment Facility. The total length to be relocated is estimated at nearly 8,200 lineal  feet. The alignment extends west of MnDOT’s proposed temporary bypass lane that is being  constructed over the existing forcemain. The existing 12-inch Maple Plain forcemain facilities along  the old highway alignment will be abandoned after the replacement forcemain facilities are  constructed.
