| Project #8047, Plymouth Forcemain Improvements | |
Description: This project consists of the rehabilitation of portions of the Plymouth forcemain using cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) technology, along with other repairs as needed. |
The Plymouth lift station is served by two forcemains. The 30 inch steel forcemain was constructed in 1970 along with the pump station. In the late 1980's a 36 - 42 inch ductile iron forcemain was installed to handle all the flow from the pump station. Portions of the Plymouth Forcemain act as a gravity sewer and never flow full. These portions of the forcemain experience are severely deteriorated by hydrogen sulfide. To ensure reliable service, the forcemain requires rehabilitation.
