Description:

The project consists of siting, facility planning, design and construction of a new 5 mgd  wastewater  treatment plant to serve the community of Hastings. The new plant will include ; phosphorus and  ammonia removal. The new plant will replace the existing plant located in downtown Hastings near  the Mississippi River.

Purpose and Justification:

Based upon the recommendations of the East Area Master Plan, a new 5 mgd plant will be built to accommodate the projected growth in the City of Hastings in the most economical, effective, and orderly manner.
