Jenna Fletcher, Stillwater (right), and her Great Dane, Hamlet, were among the crowd for the grand opening of Big Marine Park Reserve on June 7.

Before the day got warm enough for swimming, wading was the preferred activity.

Visitors lined up for activities in the art tent and for free hot dogs. The tent was erected outside the new building at the swimming beach.

Washington County Commissioner Gary Kriesel was one of several speakers at the grand opening ceremony.
