Snow-lovers have their moment in the sun

Late winter storms gave skiers and other metro area residents who love recreation in the snow a few days of winter fun in early March. Following are photos of residents enjoying the sunny outdoors at Theodore Wirth Regional Park in Minneapolis and Elm Creek Park Reserve in Maple Grove and Dayton during the weekend of March 3-4.

One of Elm Creek’s biggest winter attractions is the giant tubing hill, with 10 separate lanes designed to avoid collisions on the hill. Here a Three Rivers employee takes in the view.
