Adam Duininck
Metropolitan Council Member, District 8

Adam Duininck was appointed to the Metropolitan Council in March 2011 by Gov. Mark Dayton. He represents District 8, which includes the eastern portion of Minneapolis and the entire City of St. Anthony.

Duininck is currently the Executive Director of Win Minnesota, a non-profit organization that works to advance progressive causes in our state. Previously he was legislative and political director for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49.

On the Metropolitan Council, Duininck serves on the Management and Transportation committees, and the Transportation Advisory Board.

"Investments in transportation infrastructure are critical to our economic vitality as well as our quality of life,” Duininck said. “We are competing with metro areas around the country and the world. In order to attract business investment and a high quality workforce, our region has to demonstrate a vision on transportation infrastructure, housing and smart planning. ”

Duininck lives in the Standish neighborhood of Minneapolis with his wife, Jaime, his son, James, and their two dogs Dylan and Cash.
