MCES I/I Program: Community Information

 

After extensive outreach to and input from local communities, the Council adopted the surcharge program in 2006 to reduce inflow and infiltration.

This program enables the Council to collaboratively work with the communities and allows for:

• Credits for local investments
• Rebates of surcharges collected
• Credits for private parties that fix problems
• An appeals process

Bills/charges/fees to residents are not sent by the Met Council; resident bills are coordinated by the individual resident's city.
