| Project #8053, Southeast Anoka County Improvements | |
Description: The project consists of a relief interceptor to provide additional capacity to serve Blaine, Circle Pines, Lexington, and Lino Lakes. This project will provide a separate sewer interceptor to convey the current and projected flow from the northwest corner of Lino Lakes. The existing interceptor system has capacity to handle the ultimate flow from Blaine, Circle Pines, and Lexington. The new 36” diameter gravity relief interceptor will start at Lake Drive and North Road and will connect with existing interceptor 4-NS-523 at Lexington Ave. and County Road J. |
This project is needed to meet growth needs in this area, particularly Blaine and Lino Lakes and to implement the long-term regional wastewater system plan for this area. The capacity of interceptors 8361 and 4-NS-523 north of County Road J serving the Blaine, Lino Lakes, Circle Pines, and Lexington area, is projected to be exceeded in the future. The projected increase in flow is primarily due to growth in the eastern portion of Blaine and the northwestern portion Lino Lakes.
