Public Comment on the Proposed Amendment to the 2024-2027 Transportation Improvement Program
The Metropolitan Council’s Transportation Advisory Board is receiving public comment on a proposed regionally significant amendment to the 2024-27 Transportation Improvement Program.
MnDOT requests an amendment to the 2024-2027 Transportation Improvement Program to add a regionally significant project expanding Highway 10 in Coon Rapids. This project will expand Highway 10 from two to three lanes, improve existing pavement, and construct noise walls from Hanson Boulevard (County State Aid Highway 78) to Round Lake Boulevard (County State Aid Highway 9) in Coon Rapids.
This project is funded with $2.5 million from the Federal Highway Administration and $38 million in state bonding, along with $8 million awarded through the state’s Corridors of Commerce program.
Because the proposed project is regionally significant, the Met Council requires a public comment period as part of the process. MnDOT is proposing the project will be programmed for state fiscal year 2025 (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025).
